The aim of the article is to present the possibility of meteorological protection of uniformed public services during actions, especially in crisis situations. The author drew attention to the historical determinants of the influence of the weather on the security of operations and the need to have up-to-date meteorological data from the area of operations. The author points out that in the hydrometeorological protection of the functioning of uniformed public services, the most important thing is to have data and perform meteorological measurements outside the place of permanent stationing.
