The article presents considerations about of aspirations and initiatives of Silesian autonomists in the context of Poland’s internal security. The Author presents the historical experience of the autonomy of Silesia and the threats resulting from the present actions of the autonomists of decentralization and disintegration of the state. In conclusion the Author shows the superiority of the idea of "small homelands" over the chauvinism of regional separateness.
